How to Write a Resume - Reverse Chronological Resume
The Reverse Chronological Resume format is the
industry standard, not just for Australia but internationally
too. Reverse Chronological requires that you to put your most recent
employment history first, and then work backwards.
This format works best when the employment history can easily be identified with the career target, and where the working history doesn't contain too many gaps in employment. Unless there are mitigating reasons, we strongly recommend the use of a Reverse Chronological Resume format style for most common job types.
The following is an example of a Reverse Chronological resume. Notice how the employment history begins with the more recent employment at the start.
